The Healthcare Facility You will be working at a wonderful community controlled Indigenous Health organisation based in Katherine, Northern Territory. Here you will deliver comprehensive, culturally appropriate primary health care to Aboriginal communities in the Katherine region to a population of approximately 3,500 people. Services include Primary Health Care Clinics, Social and Emotional Wellbeing Programs, Health Promotion and Outreach, Child and Family Health Services, After-Hours Emergency Care, Visiting Specialists and NDIS Support. What you will be doing: Lead the day-to-day operations of the health centre, ensuring the effective delivery of primary health care services. Provide clinical oversight and support to a multidisciplinary team including nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and visiting clinicians. Manage and mentor staff, oversee rostering and support ongoing professional development. Engage with the local community, fostering strong relationships with Elders, community leaders and stakeholders to ensure services meet local needs. Coordinate health promotion activities and community wellness programs. Oversee administrative functions, including budgeting, resource management and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Ensure compliance with clinical governance frameworks, regulatory standards and reporting obligations. Promote a culturally safe and supportive environment for both staff and clients. To be eligible you must have: AHPRA registration with no restriction A minimum 3 years experience in managing a primary health care or remote health centre , including day-to-day operations, staffing, and service delivery.
